ENTITLEMENT PROGRAMS
Entitlement programs, by definition, state that someone is deserving of something of monetary value without condition. With that said, a welfare (entitlement) recipient can and will demand more assistance under the pretext that it is rightfully theirs whether they truly believe it or not. It also spurs hatred by them to anyone who merely mentions a reduction in assistance. Remember entitlement in it's current form is not earned; it is, by law, theirs without condition and henceforth is seen as stealing from them. The cold reality, however, is entitlement is an opportunity cost. Every single penny we, the taxpayers, give away is one less penny we can use to benefit the people who paid taxes to make that penny available in the first place. We, the taxpayers, are the true and rightful recipients of that money.
Do I sound heartless? Maybe. Am I heartless? No. Some people do need assistance. And I am wholeheartedly in support of LENDING people money in a time of need. Yes, I said lending. Imagine if you will, you bought GM stock. Well, maybe that's a bad example right now. (But I will touch on that later as all American taxpayers just recently bought GM stock.) Anyways, you buy stock. You would expect a return on your investment. Welfare is the complete opposite of investing. You give money; you give money and you give money. The recipients enjoy a better lifestyle than many of the taxpayers. There is not one reason to leave welfare; to get a job; to produce something... ANY thing to give back to society. There is zero return on our "investment". Therefore, we should only LEND people the support they need. The money becomes more valuable to them now because they realize it is not theirs as it would be under entitlement programs. They become more frugal... less wasteful. It spurs them to buy housing... to build equity and, in turn, to protect that property. They now know the well is LIMITED and has CONDITIONS. It becomes a win-win situation.

David, you couldnt have said it better. My wife works in the welfare "business" and says its disgusting how the same people come in and bark for their money, when they live drug addicted lifestyles. A $200.00 increase in "allowance" was just approved and recently started for welfare cash recipients......how sickening. We will also pay their way through college did you know that? If they bark loud enough (when denied) they always win over the supervisors...well i will say most times win. They know how to play the system and teach their off spring that it is okay to get that benefit card. Often times, she cannot help the elderly and/or those who are hard working people that fell into a rut-That need assistance. She said if the public knew the actual numbers that NYS hands out to those who abuse it....there would be a civil war! Time and time again the same people keep coming into welfare and stating they lost their cards and we the taxpayers have to pay for another card when they really gave the card to the crack dealer to go buy food in exchange for a rock of cocaine. My wife says sometimes she observes the same people needing "new cards" up to fifty times a year. Multiply that times the amount of welfare abusers and that adds up to thousands and thousands of dollars on creating benefit cards for these filthy creatures. Im sick of it. David please accept Johns challenge, go on the air at his headquarters and rip him, Steve (the 800 pound gorilla), and Edwina to pieces.......!!!!! YOu have my support!
ReplyDeleteBababooey
Thank you Bababooey. And you are 100% right. Welfare is actually a 2-prong catastrophe. First, you have legislators who, for some reason, don't even look at reducing welfare as an option to balancing a budget. I am totally lost as to why they think throwing good money after bad is such a good idea. It seriously befuddles my mind. There is not one iota of proof that it does anything for the country as a whole. I know, I know... people will die, blah, blah, blah. Of course, for anyone to really believe that, they must assume that people will let themselves starve in order to prove a point, I, however, think people are smarter and more capable than that. There is an old saying, "Necessity is the mother of invention". We've all heard it. It actually dates back to about 400 BC by Plato in his dialougue to Socrates. In a nutshell it means that when you really and honestly need something, you will find a way to achieve it. Do you think a bird would ever learn how to fly if their mother didn't kick them out of the nest? No way. Even our Bible makes reference that it is more important to teach a man how to fish than to simply give him a fish. So, when a bleeding-heart liberal like John Restaino thinks any reduction in social spending is appalling then he must also find mommy birds and God appalling as well. I'm getting a little off base here, but I will touch on this and other ludicrous, liberal remarks in another post regarding fallacies.
ReplyDeleteSecondly, and this is what your wife sees, is scumbag people not thanking us for giving them their fish (EBT, HEAP, WIC, Medicaid, etc etc), but rather being greedy bastards and demanding more. They can and will do this because welfare is one job they cannot be fired from. Wow. What a country. We give them a gift and they lambaste us for not giving them two. Again, some people do appreciate it, but what I have seen as a whole with my own eyes is greed, disrespect, and violent tantrums. It all boils down to them being "entitled" to it versus earning it.
Oh, lastly, a cival war is possible, but only after more taxpayers are made aware of how much they lose every day of their lives. The new war will be fought in the courtrooms and in demonstrations. Working people are less likely to resort to violence as, unlike a welfare recipient, they have something to lose... their house, their car, etc.
David,
ReplyDeleteYes I am who you think I am, the one who advised you about the show to begin with. Shhhh! Go on the air, John really wants a debate and you could very well be a star when he is at a lost for words....which should be an easy task LOL....Then if John has the ***ls, he might invite you to the studio for an open one on one debate live on the air!!!!! Call in Monday 297-1059 and take over the show LOL
PS
ReplyDeleteJohn really isn't a bad guy, he is just a bleeding heart liberal that doesn't work....so he wouldn't really understand our point of view. His wife brings home the cheddar...and I am not saying this is wrong.....but it certainly distorts his view on controversial issues.....like welfare and handing out money to greedy creatures that walk the streets gripping crack pipes....!
Bababooey, Do you like this web page of mine that I designed? There are different templates to choose from, but then you spice them up as you wish.
ReplyDeleteOh, what I really want are my own talk shows... one on WBEN and another on WJJL. Pretty soon Rush Limbaugh will be coming to me for advice, hahahhaha.
I think I'm going to Cocktail Bob's and Club Joey tonight. I'll buy you a beer if I see you out.
David
The website is fantastic! I am impressed. Good literature as well. Damn, you might be turning me into a conservative looool
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your radio career
ReplyDeletebababooey,
ReplyDeleteI think you ought to check who it is you say doesn't work.
David:
ReplyDeleteWe went to your old stomping grounds (The Buffalo Chop House) tonight. $140.00 dollars later....I liked the scenery but it is way too busy for me and too many yuppies in there. Plus everything is too expensive for me but overall.....its a nice place....and I can see why you left there!!!
Hey. I only worked there for a few months because I was only a banquet server. Just so you know, "holidays" are the worst times to dine out. Restaurants are packed; everyone is running around; and some places jack up their prices. A buck 40 at the Chophouse is reasonable though. Of course, though, dinner for 2 at the Como with tax and tip is only $6, hahahahaha. Are you and the Mrs. going out for a drink? I called Christine... she may come out.
ReplyDeleteBack to welfare:
ReplyDeleteDid you know that the majority of welfare recipients struggle with an addiction to alcohol and/or drugs? The only way for them to get caught is to for a social service worker to detect the problem to begin with during the interview......If they are a good liar and don't come in grinding their jaw (from cocaine) or stinking like booze AND can fool the social service interviewer then they get away with it. Or if they have had a past with alcohol and drugs and are known to the system as abusers from their profile. We should drug test these blood suckers and the moment they test positive they should be thrown off of welfare for a 2 year period. This would save us billions of dollars most likely. I could go on and on about welfare......What sickens me is that we will never know true stats on welfare recipients (drug addicts, etc) because its mostly confidential and the social service administration kisses these bloodsuckers' asses. Just ask anybody who works for Sloma and Restaino (Johns brother I think) over at Social Services at 10th and Falls. They are slave drivers and they fire good blue collared workers at the drop of a hat.....OH DONT GET ME GOING ON THIS ONE LOL
David,
ReplyDeletewhen are you going to add some new agenda on your page David? I am interested in Conservatism. Hey what the hell maybe I can become a staunch conservatism such as yourself?
David,
ReplyDeleteWhen are you going to call my show????
Bababooey,
ReplyDeleteI was on the radio Thursday. :-) I've been working my ass off the last 2 days. (There's a lot of people in Niagara Falls counting on me to work and pay taxes; I can't let them down, lol.) I will write at least 3 pieces between now and Sunday. At the moment, though, I' headed off to work.
Yours truly,
Rush Limb... oops, David
David,
ReplyDeleteYou need to be more frank with John and challenge him because he is not making any sense on the air. I am so sick of listening to his bold beliefs when he doesn't work. I get extremely annoyed when people call in and talk for several minutes and John says: "Thank you, next caller -297-1059" Show the listeners and supporters of the show respect and repsond to them. David, challenge John, leave him speechless. Ask him the hard questions. Make notes of what you are going to say and question him with a professional aggressive stance. If you can do this every day, maybe we can force him off of the air. I want the show to end NOW and I would listen to you talk on the air every day because you have the experience to back what you are believing in. I am shocked by Johns last post on conservatives. Liberals are ruining the country. Did you see that there will now be a 13.6% increase in food stamps with the stimulus package. This is what is ruining our country. I don't even want to call in to his show anymore because it is a total waste of time to spew your thoughts to John because he won't comment on the hard questions/comments anyways. It sickens me a great deal to support those who defend the poor and welfare blood suckers of this society. David, you have much more intelligence on politics and you can dismantle him on the air in front of all his listeners........GO FOR IT
P.S. John - I won't ever call in because its a total waste of time and I cannot stand listening to your political agenda.
Rush L. is making much more sense........Get him David.....Get him!!!!!!!
Bababooey,
ReplyDeleteThank you. I appreciate your support. For the last few days I've lowered myself to counter attack John and TRex on their level. I combined my proof with their childish ways to give them both barrels. I've been relentless. It appears to be working. Before they would turn my words around and act stupid. Now, they just act stupid. They blabber and blabber incoherently. Have you been reading all my replies to John's posts as well as TRex's? TRex has a page called The Fighting Lefty. There is a link to it on John's page. They have no supporters left. I'm the only one who replies to them.
Oh, as promised, I made a new post today.
I have a question for you, but I don't want it exposed over the internet. Can you e-mail me at David121566@Yahoo.com
Thank you
